Material Topics & SDGs

Materiality has been repeatedly proposed by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and by other international standards as a starting point for bringing reporting closer to stakeholder expectations.

Our ESG Priorities

In 2023, we conducted a thorough evaluation to determine the ESG priorities most critical to our future business endeavors. We prioritized our 12 material topics, ranking them from the most to the least significant, taking into account their potential impacts on people, the environment, and the economy.

This process involved engaging both external and internal stakeholders, including customers, supplier partners, and company employees. The insights gained from this evaluation help ensure that our ESG strategy remains aligned with our long-term business objectives and contributes positively to responsible packaging.

Working with our suppliers to implement initiatives and management processes aimed at engaging them in strengthening their sustainability practices and in providing Berlin new packaging materials and solutions.

Developing packaging solutions in accordance with the highest quality standards and implementing quality and health & safety control processes during the design phase of the packaging by the internal innovation and design team.

Contributing to the innovation of packaging products, making them more sustainable in terms of both design and materials. Managing our internal operations in a more efficient way to mitigate our direct impact on the environment.

Ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Promote healthy lifestyles and wellbeing with initiatives aimed at fostering work life balance.
